Backstage Pass
We went to see Secondhand Serenade at ISU this weekend. It was homecoming, and they were celebrating! But seriously, who doesn't love their new song, "Fall for You"!!! Plus, we got backstage passes (Miles little sister, Macee is dating the guy who was in charge of putting the concert together), and we actually chilled with John, the lead singer. We were so close that you couldn't take a pic of the whole band. FRONT ROW! It was awesome! (Besides the fight I got into with the jerk that tried to take my spot. I'm vicious when it comes to that stuff. The jerk found out how much I enjoyed my spot when I shoved him out of the way....haha hence the reason he's flipping the camera off in one of the pics!) Who cares dude....don't try to take my space!

Frightmares! at Lagoon
We spent Saturday afternoon with my parents, Layne and my sister-in-law Melissa. It was a great time and it was good to hang out with the family. We don't get to do that often anymore!
Waiting for the swings....apparently Miles is tight with my dad! LOL

This is Miles just a little excited that somebody will ride the swings with him...

Layne and Melissa on the Spider

Waiting for a good ride!

My Mom decided to give this ride stuff a try....it only took a few swings on the Tidal Wave for her to remember that she didn't like rides! Ha ha....nice!

At the end of the night, we couldn't resist a photo op with the pumpkins glowing!

A Date....
After all these cute surprises from Miles, I decided that I needed to do something special. I found a book of coupons that we have had for a while, and since we are close to broke it had to be cheap. The book had a coupon BOGO rollerskating. And that's just what we did! We enjoyed the night, acting like teenagers again! haha....then finished it up with some much needed ice cream. (The Mothership of all Ice Cream is what I like to call it) COLDSTONE!

"Show-aholic"
It all started a while ago when Miles told me not to plan anything for Monday, Oct. 6. He then proceeded to tell me some huge story about what we were going to do on that night and why I couldn't make any plans! So I let that ride and came home last night and dinner was ready to go. We ate dinner, and then Miles told me that I needed to stay in my "school" clothes, not to get comfy. I was a little suspicious, but he told me that we were going to go to the mall and window shop for ideas for Christmas. Sweet. He had just surprised me, so I didn't think it was his turn again. Until, on our drive to the mall, he gets in the turning lane and says, "I might need to get some gas." (I look over and his car has almost 1/2 a tank....) Turns out, he got tickets to go see "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at the Mystique Theater in Chubbuck! I was so surprised! What a great night!

A Free Concert!
So the other night, I was driving home from school. I was listening to radio just thinking about all the things I needed to do. The DJ comes on and says that Yellowcard tickets are still on sale, and the concert is next Tuesday! So I think to myself....I need to call Alicia (my little sister). She would love to come down and see Yellowcard with me. Then the DJ says that if you call right now, you could win two free tickets! Now, if you have ever tried to win anything on the radio, they never answer the phone or else it's busy. I thought I would try! It was busy the first few times, and then it rang. I WON!!! So last night, I enjoyed a free concert with my little sister. Good times!
