The Harvest

Earlier in the year, I posted that we had planted a garden. We decided to give it a try, and apparently we have a little bit of the green thumb. We have tomatoes growing like crazy....more beans than I can bottle up....peppers, onions, corn, cucumbers, and even potatoes. We also got a few strawberries.
Our tomato plants grew so much, we had to cut off parts of the vine to make the fruit grow.
The beans are growing out of the boxes.
Those are lettuce towers, not just leaves.
The corn is finally starting to get cobs...so I think we might have some corn on the cob! :)

This is my first attempt at potatoes. (I know, I'm from Idaho and it should be easy, but I've never done it alone.) So, they are starting to bloom, which means there must be something going on under ground.

Way to go. That's pretty amazing for a first attempt. I've tried three or four times before and this is the first year I've truly enjoyed a lot of produce. But, I'm hooked. I can't wait to do it again next year. It's all so yummy!!!
p.s. come visit us one of these weekends. You can come have a sleepover-I even moved the guest room to a bigger room and the crib is in there!!!
